What Are Aesthetic Fillings (Composite / Inlay / Onlay)?

Aesthetic fillings are fillings applied to eliminate decay, fractures or aesthetic defects on the teeth, in harmony with the natural colour and structure of the teeth. Inlay and onlay fillings are specially produced from porcelain or composite material in a laboratory setting. These fillings are applied in larger restorations to cover the chewing surfaces of the tooth. By fitting the tooth structure exactly, they give perfect results in terms of durability and aesthetics. Inlay fillings are preferred for the areas inside the tooth, while onlay fillings are preferred for situations covering larger surfaces.
