Surgical Treatment (Flap, Bone Graft)

Surgical treatment methods are applied in advanced-stage peri-implantitis cases or in situations where non-surgical approaches are not sufficient. These treatments are carried out to repair the tissue and bone loss around the implant.

• Flap Surgery: Surgically opening the gums around the implant to clean the infected tissues and provide better access. The gums are then closed back in place with sutures.
• Bone Graft: Performing a bone graft around the implant using the patient's own bone, donor bone or synthetic materials to repair the bone loss.
